Snow for Scotland

A change coming today and tonight as much colder air will be filtering south, reaching southern areas tonight. Northern Scotland will be an area of sleet and snow moving in this morning. This tracks down into south east Scotland in the afternoon. Snow is likely to extend down to low levels giving some accumulations. Mostly cloudy across England and Wales with a number of showers. Expect highs of 7 to 13 Celsius with strong northerly winds developing.


Very windy across England and Wales for the evening and night as the cold air pushes southward. Showers in the south clear away during the evening with an area of sleet, with snow on the fells running Across north east England. Mainly dry and cold overnight with icy patches developing and a risk of sleet and snow showers near the eastern coasts of Scotland and north east England. Expect minimum temperatures of -2 to 2 Celsius.


If you are heading abroad much of Europe will have below normal temperatures. Spain will be quite warm with a risk of thundery showers over the next couple of day.
