Morning Call - February 01, 2017
Rain west & east
Dry in the middle

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 1st February 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Morning rain clearing east then mostly cloudy, but more rain in the west

Good morning,

It will be a fairly damp start to the morning across much of eastern England. Here there will be outbreaks of rain and these will be continuing on and off throughout the morning. They will slowly be clearing into the North Sea. Further west it will become drier with plenty of cloud although a few brighter spells here and there.

Drizzle may affect the hills of central Scotland and southern Wales as well as southwest England ahead of some more persistent rain passing across southern Ireland. This area of rain then crosses into Wales and southwest England through the afternoon and then through all areas during this evening.

Becoming breezier in the west too ahead of a wet day here on Thursday.
