Breezy with sunshine and showers, longer spells of rain to the south

Good morning,

A fair morning with sunny spells across much of southern Ireland, Wales and southern England. Showers in Northern Ireland and northern England as well as Scotland, with little change expected during the day.
 

After a fair start in southern England, Wales and southern England, cloud will be thickening bringing rain to southern Ireland and southwest England during the morning. A brisk southwest flow affecting all areas.

The area of rain passes across Wales, central and southern England this afternoon, some of it heavy over the hills. Drier weather follows through Ireland and western Wales as well as southwest England. Heavy showers continue in western Scotland and Ireland. Eastern areas will be drier.
