Morning Call - June 24, 2017
Rain heads south
Dry Scotland

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 23rd June 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Heavy bursts of rain heading south, dry in the south, fair in Scotland

Good morning,

Some heavy bursts of rain this morning along a cold front which will be moving south through northern England, southern Ireland and Wales. Dry across the Midlands and southern England at first with some sunshine in the southeast.

Clouding over in more central and southern areas this afternoon, and although there may be some rain in the Midlands for a time, this should fade with most places staying dry. Still some periods of rain in northwest England and western Wales, this reaching the hills of southwest England later.

Scotland becomes drier and brighter with sunny spells developing. Staying fair into the afternoon although breezy.
