Chilly with showers in the east

Good morning,

It's another chilly start to the morning across much of the UK and Ireland. There are showers affecting eastern coasts and hills and these are going to be continuing into this afternoon. Further west it is a drier, brighter start to the day with some reasonable spells of sunshine.
 

The showers will be edging westwards through the course of this afternoon. More eastern areas are likely to have further showers on and off through the day, with a few affecting the Midlands and southern England too.
