Risk of thunder

Good morning,

A trough of low pressure influences the British Isles today. It will be a showery day, with some locally frequent or persistent bursts of rain, but also some drier areas with sunshine.

Showers are generally most widespread in the west this morning, then transferring inland and eastwards by afternoon. Risk of local thunder. Pressure will slowly build from the west, and all regions become dry into the night.

A fairly light breeze, typically south veering westerly through the day, locally gusty around coasts and during showers.

Today's top temperatures will reach 12 to 15C, warmest in central-southern areas.

Have a great day.
