Morning Call - October 01, 2016
Heavy rain spreading east
Feeling cool

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 1st October 2016
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Brighter north, later improving west

Good morning,

There will be some heavy bursts of rain across central and southern Britain today, the worst conditions transferring eastwards through the day.

Locally rain may set in for several hours, whilst some parts will see just showers. Risk of torrential downpours, hail and thunder.

Northern regions will fare better overall, with showers well scattered, and occasional sunshine. Brighter conditions will develop across Wales and the west into the afternoon.

Top temperatures 13 or 14C in the north, to 16 or 17C in the south, but where rain persists it will be distinctly cool at just 12C.

It will drop chilly overnight into Sunday, with a slight frost in rural northern areas. Sunday daytime will be much brighter for all, largely dry with plenty of sunshine.

Have a great weekend.
Garry
