Morning Call - February 09, 2017
Eastern snow showers
Fair in the west

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 9th February 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cold with snow flurries in the east, drier and brighter to the west

Good morning,

A colder day across all parts of the country with the best of any sunshine across more western areas. To the east there will be some snow showers affecting the coasts of Scotland and England and these are going to be continuing throughout the day.

Drier to the west with an extensive and sharp early frost. Southwest England, western Wales, northwest England and western Scotland seeing the best of the sunshine, although still feeling cold here. Elsewhere variable amounts of cloud, although this may well thicken during the afternoon, brining a few snow flurries to central and southern England.

Ireland will have patchy drizzle in the far south. Elsewhere cloud is going to be breaking with some bright or sunny spells forming in the far west.
