Cold with snow flurries in the east, drier and brighter to the west Drier to the west with an extensive and sharp early frost. Southwest England, western Wales, northwest England and western Scotland seeing the best of the sunshine, although still feeling cold here. Elsewhere variable amounts of cloud, although this may well thicken during the afternoon, brining a few snow flurries to central and southern England. Ireland will have patchy drizzle in the far south. Elsewhere cloud is going to be breaking with some bright or sunny spells forming in the far west.
