Morning Call - September 29, 2016
Early Scottish gales
Rain in southeast

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 29th September 2016
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Severe gales in Scotland this morning, brighter and fresher for most but rain in the southeast

Good morning,

A weak front brings cloud and outbreaks of rain across southeast England this morning. Staying damp into this afternoon with further spells of rain, most of it light but a few moderate bursts too.

A windy morning in Scotland with severe gale force wind. Heavy showers in northern and western Scotland too, some merging into longer periods of rain. Drier to the east and south with some brighter skies to come here.

Drier elsewhere with sunny spells. Breezy through northern England and most of the east and south of Ireland. Feeling fresh for all and perhaps cold in Scotland.
