Patchy rain fading away then mostly dry and fresher

Good morning,

A band of showery rain passing eastwards through Scotland and northern England this morning, There could be some heavy bursts of rain at first over western Scotland, although these tending to fade away as they pass eastwards. A drier start in England and Wales but with some cloud in central, northern and western areas. This tending to bre through the morning with a few bright or sunny spells developing.


This afternoon should be mostly dry with broken cloud over much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. A few showers affecting the west of Scotland and also western Ireland, but drier in the east with some bright spells here.


Another area of rain and some stronger winds arrive in Ireland and western Scotland overnight, although the east should stay dry.
