Morning Call - October 15, 2016
Dry central areas
Very wet eastern Scotland

Warmer than recent days in south

Good morning,

A mixed picture across Britain & Ireland today. Some places will escape mainly dry all day, but there will be areas of persistent rain or heavy showers.

Best chance for staying dry is across central, east & south-eastern England. Some sunshine, although it may be dull at first.

Rain affects Scotland, persistent and heavy across the eastern side of the Highlands throughout the day. Smaller amounts for western Scotland. Early rain or drizzle in northern England will fade. A strong easterly wind in the far north.

Meanwhile, pulses of heavy, locally thundery showers will affect the south-west, these spreading further into central-southern England by late afternoon and evening.

Fairly mild in the south, highs 16 or 17C; around 14C elsewhere, but just 10C in north-east Scotland.

By Sunday, expect heavy showers to be more widespread, spreading from the south-west, although the north-east should see a brighter day.

Have a great day.
Garry
