Morning Call - January 24, 2017
Early fog clears
Drizzle in west

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 24th January 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Freezing fog patches slowly clearing, drizzle in far west

Good morning,

It's another foggy start to the morning across much of central and southern England and Wales. Further fog affects the Vale of York. The fog is freezing in places and is dense. This fog lasting into the middle part of the morning, but it should then clear. This afternoon is mostly dry with a fair amount of cloud, but this breaking to allow some bright or sunny spells to come through, best in the east.

Western areas are likely to be cloudier, and there will be moe cloud in Scotland as well. Outbreaks of patchy rain in Ireland and western Scotland, this perhaps reaching northwest England and western Wales later. Milder conditions to the west.

Overnight most places are dry. Clearer skies in central and eastern parts with a frost here and the risk of some freezing fog patches too. Cloudier and breezier to the west and north. Mostly dry but patchy rain in Ireland and western Scotland.
