Morning Call - December 05, 2016
Cold but dry
Dense freezing fog slowly lifting

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 5 December 2016
Duty forecaster: John Ejdowski

Today will be the last day of this minor cold snap as much milder temperatures are expected from tomorrow. Across much of England it's a rather cold, grey and misty day with locally dense patches of fog and freezing fog in the south, across the Midlands and into the north east. These may linger in low lying areas for much of the day. Across Scotland it's a cold day with the best of the sunshine. Expect maximums temperatures 2 to 9 Celsius.

Quite a breezy evening and night across the south west with a few spots of rain. Across eastern Scotland and north east England we may see fog developing through the evening becoming more dense during the night. A frost is also likely across Scotland and north east England. Expect minimum temperatures of 1 to 8 Celsius.

If you are heading abroad western and central parts of Europe will be settled and dry with heavy snow in the north east. The Mediterranean will be quite showery.
