Feeling bitterly cold in the windy weather and mostly dry too

Good morning,

Make sure you have dressed in extra layers today because it is going to be feeling bitterly cold for many of us. There is a widespread frost this morning with a fair amount of cloud around as well. A brisk southeasterly wind will allow the cloud to be breaking with some bright or sunny spells developing as the cloud breaks.

The best of the sunshine developing in northern Scotland as well as the west of Wales and southwest England. Windy here with gales affecting western coasts. Cloudier skies in Ireland with some outbreaks of rain in the far west, most of it light.

Windy in the west overnight again with galesover the coasts. Cloud and rain in Ireland, most in the south. The far west of Cornwall sees thicker clud and some rain too. Most will be dry and cold although breezy.
