A low pressure system over France will give generally cloudy skies central and southern England and Wales with outbreaks of rain spreading north. Rain will get heavy in the evening. Elsewhere it will be a much brighter day with occasional showers. Windy in south, but light winds elsewhere. Maximum temperatures at 8-10C for most, but 12C far south. However the cloudy skies, the rain and wind will give a cool feeling.

Sunday 28/04/2024
Low pressure moves north with rain developing more widely over the England and Wales. Expect some heavy outbreaks especially in the morning. Over Ireland and much of Scotland drier and brighter with occasional showers. Rain will start clearing from the south in the afternoon, with a few showers following. Windy in places with gales in exposure and over high ground. Temperatures rising to 9-11C in the afternoon.

Monday 29/04/2024
A mostly dry bright start but soon showers will develop, a few on the heavy side in the afternoon, possibly thundery over Englands. Showers will die away in the evening, however thick cloud and some heavy rain spreads over Ireland in the evening. A breezy day for most, maximum temperatures at 10C in north but locally 14C in south.


 

Tuesday 30/04/2024
A southeasterly wind will develop over the British Isles possibly bringing some showers, a few on the heavy side. Best of the drier and brighter conditions over Northwest Scotland and northern parts of Ireland. Breezy with temperatures rising to around 10C in north, but 16C in south.


 

Wednesday 01/05/2024
A mostly dry and bright start to the day with sunny spells. Through the afternoon expect showers to develop over land, a few on the heavy side and thundery. Mostly light winds with the temperature rising to around 10-12C in north but possibly up to 18C in south.

Another dry and bright start to the day with sunny spells but showers will develop through the afternoon mostly over England, a few on the heavy side and possibly thundery. Tops of 14C in north and 19C in south.
